Jojo Austin, Amelia Rose Beacham and Rudy Austin, from left, along with Steinway the dog, helped to get the statue of St. Francis ready for the Blessing of the Animals at Abingdon Episcopal Church. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the church on Route 17 at White Marsh. People are invited to bring their pets, or a likeness of their pets, for a blessing by the priest.
