Birdwatching

Members of the Middle Peninsula Bird Club visited Heritage Trail Park in Saluda on Thursday, Oct. 10, for a morning of birdwatching. Eleven species were seen or heard of which a Winter Wren and a Brown Creeper were the highlights, a release said. The group also visited Tupelo Farm and Garden outside Urbanna, and saw or heard 19 species of birds with Eastern Meadowlarks and a Yellow-rumped Warbler being of particular note. Those taking part in the birdwatching were, from left, Edith Bradbury, Robin Mathews, Sherry Rollins, Bill Corbin, Susan Crockett, Glenn Marin, Judy Marin, Doug Dwoyer, Anne Wilber and Dave Yeager.
