Bill Baxter Building opens in former county office space

Bill Baxter Building recently opened an office in the former Gloucester County Building #3 on Main Street that Nam Vu is repurposing as professional offices and business space.

Baxter said he started his company in February 1976. Until he moved into his current Gloucester location, he had always been home-based; first in Newport News, later York County and for about 13 years in Gloucester.

He handles residential and commercial construction projects. He has built luxury homes in Newport News, renovated a number of properties following Hurricane Isabel, renovated the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News after it was flooded, and renovated the Trellis Restaurant in Williamsburg and the Tabb House on Gloucester’s Main Street. He has done restoration work for Colonial Williamsburg. A current project is building Faith Baptist Church in Mathews.
