The shooting match for turkeys and geese and the oyster roast which is to take place at Bohannon on Thanksgiving Day promises to be a very pleasant affair. Messrs. Miles & Mahome, who are the projectors, have left no stone unturned to make it a success. In the evening a select ball will be held at Mobjack. Town music will be procured if possible, and, as the admission is but 50 cents, a large crowd is expected to attend. Ladies are admitted free. Refreshments will be served without cost. A boat will be at Diggs Wharf to ferry passengers over.
Ladies of St. Paul’s Epworth League will give an entertainment at the Odd Fellows Hall near Port Haywood on the night of Nov. 30, Thanksgiving Day. Refreshments will be served during intermission. Proceeds to help buy an organ for the church.
