B&G Club Flounder Tournament hauls in $22,000+

More than $22,000 was raised during the 14th annual Gloucester Boys and Girls Club Flounder Fishing Tournament, which was held July 8-9 from Crown Pointe Marina, Hayes. After paying the winnings, the tournament will give back approximately $15,000 to the club, according to a release.

Brian Hogge and his crew sponsored by Hogge’s Stump Grinding won first place with a total of three fish weighing 13.49 pounds, with total winnings of over $4,000. Thomas Hall won the youth angler award and Jennifer Hall won the Yeardley Blackwell Memorial Lady Angler division award.

The total cash purse this year was over $8,500 with other prizes totaling nearly $750, according to the release.  ...
