Betty Salmons Hudgins, 75, of Mathews, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, Charles M. Kanary and Gertrude Elizabeth Loving, and a brother, Charles W. Kanary.

She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Miller (Steve) and Tracy Whitehurst (Robbie); a sister, Brenda Walker; a stepbrother, Alvin Crump; grandchildren, Janah Stewart (Aaron), Jason Miller, Kyle Slaughter, and Melany Slaughter; great-grandchildren, Jack, Carter, and Wren Stewart and Holley Slaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Friday, Oct. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed the service in Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton.
