Betty Jane Jensen, age 85, of Vienna, Va., went to be with the Lord on Feb. 5, 2013. She was at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Wilson, N.C., her family moved to Mathews, Va. in 1940. She graduated from Mathews High School, class of 1945, and continued her education at Elizabeth Buxton Hospital, School of Nursing, graduating in 1948.

She had a long and rewarding career in nursing before retiring in 2000. She attended McLean Bible Church for many decades.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James A. Jensen Jr.; her daughter, Mary Jo Jensen Schramm of Stephens City, Va.; two sons, James Jensen III of Ashburn, Va., and Jeffery Jensen of Lynchburg, Va.; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, from 1-2 p.m. with a funeral service at 2 o’clock at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. Burial followed in H. C. Smither Cemetery, Hudgins, Va.
