A pair of Best Years Trips is being planned in the coming weeks by Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Saturday is the deadline to sign up for a March 16 trip to the Suffolk Mystery Authors Festival. The group will leave at 11:15 a.m. and return to Gloucester around 8:15 p.m. Meet over 50 authors, hear their stories and have dinner on the way home. The fee is $30.

A second Best Years Trip is planned for Saturday, April 13, to Smithfield for the Second Saturday Pickers Market. That trip will depart at 7:30 a.m., returning around 2:15 p.m. Spend the day on Smithfield’s Main Street and have lunch on your own. The fee is $30 and the deadline to register is April 7. Best Years Trips are held for those ages 55 and older.
