Best Years Trips are back

Best Years Trips for ages 55 and over are back.

Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism will host a trip on Sept. 18 to Heathsville, where participants will visit Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern for a farmers’ market and living history day.

The bus leaves at 8 a.m. and returns at 2:30 p.m. The fee is $22 and the deadline to sign up is Sept. 11. On Wednesday, Oct. 13, the group will visit the Riverside Theater for Performing Arts in Fredericksburg to see Steve Martin’s “Bright Star.” The fee is $95 and the deadline is Sept. 13. November’s trip is to the Little Theater of Virginia Beach to see “Hello Dolly.” Tickets are not on sale yet, so details are not yet available.
