A reception was held on Friday evening at Gloucester Arts on Main to open this year’s 37th annual Virginia Watercolor Exhibition. Members of the Virginia Watercolor Society’s 2016 executive board Show judge Mel Stabin selected a piece titled “The Water Taxi Driver” by Holland Wentz Etheridge as Best in Show. Board members attending included Pam Doss, Wanda Friend, Connie Fulton, Bill Andersen, Stabin, Leslie Belvin, Carol Negus-Rosenfeld and Betsy Henderson. Andersen and Belvin served as exhibition co-chairs. Entries from this statewide contest will be displayed at Gloucester Arts on Main through June 25.
