A funeral for Bertha J. Doss, 87, of Virginia Beach, formerly of Gloucester, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. She died on April 16, 2014.

Mrs. Doss was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Doss. She was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. 

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Rickman, Deborah Clishe, Barbara Smith and Betty Lobur; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Michael Gray. Interment followed in Peninsula Memorial Park.
