BERTHA DOROTHY PLOUFFE

Bertha Dorothy Plouffe, 96, of North, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2017. 

She was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, the eldest of nine children, to William and Isabelle Kirby. Bertha moved to Burlington, Vermont, at the age of five. 

After she married she lived in Holyoke, Massachusetts, for many years and lastly moved to Virginia to live with her daughter.

She loved going out and taking rides. Bertha was of the Catholic faith. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother (great- and great-great-), who leaves us many rich memories.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Norman Plouffe; sisters, Arlene, Alice and Marie, and brothers, Robert and William.

Bertha is survived by daughters, Dorothy Causeway, Norma O’Clair and Pamela Pamaylaon; sister, Kathrine Byrne; brothers, Donald and Paul Kirby; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley, Massachusetts.
