Bernice B. Deal of Portsmouth, went to be with her Lord on May 22, 2018.

She was born Oct, 8, 1920 in Gloucester, the daughter of the late J. Henion and Eugie R. Brown. She was predeceased by her first husband, Everett Hall, and her second husband, William F. Deal Sr.       

She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Joann H. Harris of Chesterfield, and Rita H. Martinson and husband Bill of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Kimberly McDougall (Dan) of Chesterfield, Carroll N. Harris, III (Debra) of Ashburn, Stacie Sexton (Michael) and Wendy Ferris (Sean) of Virginia Beach, and six great-grandchildren.  

She was a longtime member of Cradock Baptist Church, and a member of Beasley Senior Citizens Club and Modern Woodmen of America. She retired from the Portsmouth Navy Exchange with 25 years of service. 

Family received guests at Hogg Funeral Home from 11- 11:45 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, followed by graveside service at 12 at Gloucester Point Cemetery, 1860 Hayes Road, Gloucester Point.
