Becky Boo-tique brings rustic fashion to West Point

After opening a successful storefront in Petersburg, Becky Martin has brought a “Becky Boo-tique” to West Point. The store officially opened in June and features rustic fashion apparel for women.

“It’s gotten busier,” said Martin. So busy, and popular, in fact that Martin is opening a third store in Dinwiddie Oct. 1. Before opening her brick-and-mortar stores, she first began her business online and decided to open an in-person boutique after her initial success.

Martin has spent the past 27 years as a senior tax auditor for the state and will be retiring Oct. 1 to focus fully on her business and be more hands on. She will now be traveling to her different locations throughout the week.

“It’s gotten busier,” she said. “I enjoy this more.”

Martin graduated from West Point High School in 1991 and decided to return to her roots by opening a storefront there.

“It just made sense to come open a small store,” said Martin.
