Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is planning a pair of hikes in December, beginning with the Full Hike (9.5 miles from one end of Beaverdam Park to the other) on Saturday, Dec. 16, beginning at 10 a.m.
The registration fee is $5 and the deadline to sign up is Dec. 9.
A two-hour Shortest Day Hike will be held at the park at 5:30 p.m. on the Winter Solstice, Thursday, Dec. 21. The registration fee for this hike is also $5 and the deadline to register is Dec. 14.
