Beauty and the beast

Nature often provides startling contrasts. Around 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Low Ground Road in Hayes, as the sun was starting to set, four rather unattractive vultures were perched in the tree tops sunning themselves. A half an hour later in Guinea, a flock of pretty seagulls splashed in the mud flats at low tide as the sun dipped. Here, a lone seagull glides along a purple sky above the Severn River.
