Baystars Hammerheads win U11 bracket

The Baystars U11 Hammerheads won their U11 bracket and took second place overall in their division of the River City Cup last weekend. The team includes, from left, Evan Lawson, Ryder Talbot, Cole Christensen, Haydin Arquette, Caden Thompson, Bryce Fischer, Connor Duval, Jackson Mandell, Aaron Hines, Ashton Taylor and Drew West.

The Baystars Hammerheads won their U11 bracket and placed second overall in their division of the River City Cup soccer tournament held last weekend at Ukrop Park in Richmond.
The Hammerheads faced teams from large clubs, such as the Richmond Kickers, Richmond Strikers and Rush Nero, and outscored their bracket opponents, 16-3.
Scoring for the Hammerheads were Aaron Hines, Caden Thompson, Ashton Taylor, Bryce Fischer and Drew West. Fischer and West shared the goalkeeping duties.
