BARRACUDAS: The Baystars FC Under 19 Barracudas got by the Richmond Kickers Red 2002, 1-0, on Saturday in Poor Farm Park in Ashland. Elijah Miller had the lone goal and the ’Cudas now lead their Virginia Soccer League division with a 4-1-1 record.

HAMMERHEADS: The Baystars U11 Hammerheads bested the WBSC Vipers, 10-2, on Saturday in Chesapeake to improve to 4-0-1. Aaron Hines had four goals for the Hammerheads, Ashton Taylor had three and goals were contributed by Caden Thompson, Drew West and Jackson Mandell. The defensive effort, which only allowed two late-game goals, was anchored by goalies West and Taylor and was assisted by Conner Duval and Mandell.
