STINGRAYS: The Baystars U10 Stingrays beat the ODSC Dolphins, 6-5, in a youth soccer match in Virginia Beach on Monday. Brynn Baker had a hat trick for the Stingrays, Aubrey Bell scored twice and had an assist and Eden Gothreau-French scored a goal.

HAMMERHEADS: The Baystars U12 Hammerheads played the Smithfield Scorchers to a 2-2 tie in their season opener at the Hampton Roads Sports Complex in Virginia Beach on Sept. 12. Ryder Talbot scored for the Hammerheads in the first half and Ashton Taylor scored for the team off a corner by Caden Thompson. The Hammerheads then fell, 4-3, to the Beach FC Predators at the HRSC last Sunday, Bryce Fischer scored with an assist from Aaron Hines and Thompson scored with a direct kick to make it 4-2 in favor of the Predators at the half. Hines scored with an assist from Conner Duval to narrow the lead to 4-3 but that was all for the Hammerheads. Second-half goal keeper Jackson Mandell had a clean sheet for the team.
