Bayside Youth Ballet presented its bi-annual Spring Recital, “In Full Bloom–From Strong Roots We Blossom,” on June 13 in the Gloucester High School auditorium, captivating a sold-out audience. The production showcased the talent and dedication of approximately 100 student dancers, ranging in age from 3 years to seasoned 18-year-old performers. The program featured choreography from teachers Danile Giesy, Hope Hunter and Catriona Plourde, alongside performances by their senior soloists: Madeline Craven, Piper Hicks, Madelyn Micket and Evie Newsome. They presented an array of styles, from classical ballet to jazz, tap and modern pieces. “The stage came alive with dance,” said a press release. Following the recital, the company held a celebration to mark the retirement of company founder Debbie Diggs, held at the studio on Main Street that was formerly known as Diggs School of Dance.
