Bayside Ballet to present Christmas performance Dec. 15

Bayside Youth Ballet will present its annual Christmas performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School.

The ballet company will be performing “Juke Box Christmas,” a selection of dances to music from the ’50s and ’60s, and “The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,” a piece popularized in the “Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular” by the famed Rockettes.

The company will also present “Les Patineurs,” a perennial favorite, depicting a Victorian skating party, as well as a new neoclassical ballet set to traditional European carols.

“With 20 dancers ranging in age from 9 to 18, new and exciting choreography, and lavish costumes, the program is sure to be a family favorite during this Christmas season,” said a press release.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children under 10 and are available at Mathews Visitor Center, and Office Supply and Diggs School of Dance...
