Bay Transit/RCC scholarship

Kenedi Hence, a 2022 graduate of Essex High School, was presented with a $1,000 check on Aug. 23, the inaugural Bay Transit—Rappahannock Community College Scholarship. With funds generated from Bay Transit’s annual “Art in Transit” judged competition as well as a $500 match from the RCC Educational Foundation, Bay Transit established the new scholarship fund. The Bay Transit Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded each fall for one of Bay Transit’s frontline employees, the employee’s children, or employee’s grandchildren, who are, or will be, attending RCC.
