A progressive Turkish Feast is the next culinary event the Bay School is bringing to the community.
The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the gallery on Main Street in Mathews. Appetizers and Yeni Raki cocktails are on the menu, and guests will also have the opportunity to shop items in the Holiday Pop-Up Market.
At 6 p.m., the party will proceed to the White Dog Bistro for a four-course gourmet Turkish Feast, planned and prepared by Chef Walter Wilkes. The menu includes a traditional Turkish vegetable salad, Mercimek Corbasi (red lentil soup), a choice of various Sis kebabs or eggplant, dolloping sauces, Turkish-style rice, homemade sour cherry and goat cheese ice cream, and Turkish wine.
Earlier culinary adventures this year included an Irish Culinary Experience, Whiskey Tasting, Faerie Tea, and Northern Mediterranean Wine Tasting. These events educate guests about culinary traditions across the world and raise funds for the Bay School’s educational art program, said a press release.
Tickets are $135 per person for members of the Bay School and $145 per person for the public.
