The Bay School Community Arts Center is hosting a pair of new, interactive, family-friendly events this month at the gallery on Main Street in Mathews.

Both events—a “Be Here, Find Art” Scavenger Hunt and a Backyard Yoga “Roof Raiser”—focus on increasing opportunities for Mathews residents and visitors to engage with the arts, said a press release.

Scavenger hunt

“Be Here, Find Art” begins on Saturday and directs participants to find, photograph, and share both Mathews art landmarks and their own experiences with art at the Bay School.

Each item on the scavenger hunt list will have a point value. Participants can post their pictures in the Facebook event discussion or email them to bayschoolarts@gmail.com, said the release. Points will be tallied on Oct. 25, and prizes will be awarded.

There is no cost to participate, said the release, and participants don’t need to be Mathews residents. They don’t even need to be in Mathews if they can find landmark photos online.
