Bay School issues call for entries for 2024 Art Speaks exhibit

The Bay School Community Arts Center has issued a call for entries for the 2024 Art Speaks Juried Exhibition. The deadline for entries is midnight on March 1.

The show, which has a $1,500 prize for best in show, will be juried and judged by Joe Gyurcsak, a plein air artist/instructor and brand manager for Utrecht Art Supplies at Dick Blick, a primary art materials firm.

Total prizes awarded will be $6,350, including $1,500 for best in show. Only original works that have been completed since Jan. 1, 2021 and that have not shown and are not markedly similar to work shown in a previous Art Speaks Juried Exhibition will be accepted.

Eligible media in the 2D category include painting and drawing in all media, mixed media and printmaking, and fine art photography. The 3D art category includes ceramic, glass, wood or metal functional ware, sculpture in any media, and fiber art.
