Members of Bay Quilters, a local quilting guild, have made quilts of all colors and patterns to donate to the Rural Infant Services Program in Urbanna. RISP is a program that helps children with their developmental process. The quilts are for use of the children during their play and therapy time, a release said. They were designed and made by members of Bay Quilters who range in age into their 90s. Guild members, from left, Pam Shafer, Betty Ford Lipps, and Pat Rawls, who is the group’s coordinator for RISP, delivered almost 30 quilts to the group. Bay Quilters meets at 9:30 a.m. the second Thursday of each month at Westville Christian Church, Mathews, and all are welcome, the release said.
