Bailey Brandenberger joined her mother’s business, Bay Bookkeeping Services, last year as office manager. She plans to move into a role as a bookkeeper in the future. Her mother, Renae Leahy, established the business in 2018 after working for many years as a bookkeeper.

The business specializes in helping contractors, tradespeople, and service-based small business owners. It is operated remotely in Gloucester.

Brandenberger said her mother had always been great with numbers and organizing, but believing that she could start a business from the ground up had been an obstacle she had to overcome.

“I am so proud of what she has accomplished,” said Brandenberger.

When she joined the business, Brandenberger said she was faced with the task of bringing visibility to Bay Bookkeeping.
