Bay Aging receives national award for its veteran care program

Bay Aging’s Veteran Directed Care Program has been honored with an Aging Achievement Award by the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a).

The awards program is supported by WellCare Health Plans, and it honored the Veteran Directed Care Program at the n4a Annual Conference & Trade Show, July 28–Aug. 1 in Chicago, Illinois.

The 2018 n4a Aging Innovations and Achievement Awards recognized Bay Aging for implementing cutting-edge approaches to support veterans with disabilities and their caregivers, a release stated. Other agencies are encouraged to partner with Bay Aging to replicate the program.
