Alda and Lawrence Barnett of Cobbs Creek, announce the engagement of their daughter, Betsy Hudson Barnett, to Cody Levon McCrory, son of Greg McCrory. Betsy graduated from Mathews High School and Rappahannock Community College. She is a supervisor at the Gloucester-Mathews-Middlesex Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Clerk’s Office. Cody graduated from Pearl High School, Pearl, Mississippi, and is employed by Total Hardware, LLC, in Newport News.Betsy is the granddaughter of Sandra Ward and the late Charles and Betsy Hudgins and the late Mary Barnett and Henry Barnett. Cody is the grandson of Thomas and Kay Sommer of Pearl, Miss. A wedding is planned for May 29, 2027 at Pretty Place Chapel in Cleveland, South Carolina....
