A graveside service for Barbara Wetzel Wright, 76, of Hopewell, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bruington Baptist Church cemetery, Bruington. She died April 22, 2021.

She received a degree in Library Science from Florida State University.

As a “pastor’s wife,” she enjoyed a variety of activities in support of the congregations including ministering and building relationships with children and youth in the churches. In addition, she taught school in King and Queen and Gloucester counties as she supported her husband in his pastorates.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, the Rev. James Wright.

Survivors include her daughter, Beth Wright Seder; son, David M. Wright, and a sister, Michele Wetzel.

The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bruington Baptist Church or the King and Queen Public Library.
