A graveside service for Barbara Sterling Thompson of Cobbs Creek, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Haynes Cemetery, Cobbs Creek. She died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon E. Thompson; her parents, Cecil and Elva Gwyn Sterling, and her brother, Donald G. Sterling.

 

Mrs. Thompson was a member of Severn Church, Gloucester.

 

Survivors include a daughter, Jane Diggs; a grandson, and two great-grandsons.

 

The Rev. Bill West conducted the service.
