Ballet’s Spring Gala to be presented Sunday

“Tales as Old as Time,” Bayside Youth Ballet’s Spring Gala, will be presented at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School.

The show includes jazz, classical ballet, modern and musical pieces and will open with “Be Our Guest,” from the Disney musical “Beauty and the Beast.” Also scheduled are excerpts from the village scenes of the ballet “Giselle,” as well as from the Spanish ballet “Don Quixote,” “The Pajama Game,” and “West Side Story.”

The gala will feature 23 dancers ranging in age from 10 to 18, a release stated. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children under 10 and are available at Office Supply and the Diggs School of Dance in Gloucester or at the Mathews County Visitor and Information Center in Mathews. They are also available by emailing baysideballet@gmail.com, and they will be sold at the door.
