Backyard Summer Steam on Aug. 19 to benefit Bay School is postponed

Backyard Summer Steam, the fifth in a series of fundraisers being hosted by the Bay School Community Arts Center in 2021, originally scheduled for 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, in the backyard of the gallery on Main Street in Mathews, has been postponed. It will be scheduled for a later date.

The Seafood Shack will be serving Low Country Boil, fish tacos and hot dogs, said a press release. Gloucester Brewing Company beer will be on tap, and iced tea and water will be available.

Suite 101 Bandmates will play live music during the event, which is sponsored by Burton’s Waterfront at Horsley Real Estate, said the release.

The cost is $45 for adults, $15 for youth aged 6-15, and free for children age 5 and under.

Tickets are available at the Bay School or online at bayschool-arts.com. Ticket sales end at end-of-day on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
