The Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society will hold its monthly buffet luncheon meeting on Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Pilot House Restaurant, which is adjacent to Hummel Field Airport in Topping on Route 3. The program begins with a meet-and-greet at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. This month’s speaker will be member Tom Duke, who was recently nominated to the VAHS Hall of Fame. His presentation will be on his roughly 50-year career in aviation. The chapter meets on the third Thursdays of the month (except December) featuring presentations on current and historical civilian and military aviation interests.
