The Avalon Center, an organization that works to end domestic and sexual violence, will hold a community response town hall on Families, Youth & Prevention at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at the Gloucester County Public Library, 6290 Main Street, Gloucester. The focus of the town hall will be on how families are impacted by domestic and sexualized violence, said a press release. The discussion will include what Avalon and community partners are doing in youth and family outreach, prevention, and awareness, as well as youth services programming, school partnerships and the Toyota initiative. Featured panelists are Dr. Tina Thomas, executive director of Avalon; Juanita Graham, director of Avalon’s outreach services; and Kimberly Hensley, Mathews County’s interim Commonwealth’s Attorney.
