Auto Solution opened for business March 5 behind Tillage Automotive, Route 17 at Jordan Road, Gloucester Point.
Owner Herbie Wyatt of Hayes, said this is the first business he has owned. He has more than 10 years’ automotive experience.
Wyatt said he and his cousin, Lionel Brooks of Gloucester, offer all types of preventative maintenance and repair for cars and light trucks. Among services offered are oil changes, engine work, transmission rebuilds, towing, timing belts, and tires and wheels.
They work on both domestic and foreign cars in their four service bays. In addition, Wyatt said they work on cars that Tillage Automotive buys before they are put up for sale.
Auto Solution plans to add tractor-trailer repair and offer state vehicle inspections later.
Most recently, Wyatt worked for a used car dealer in Saluda. Previously, he worked at several Gloucester auto repair shops.
Originally from Gloucester, he is a graduate of Gloucester High School. Wyatt is a certified Toyota technician, while Brooks is a certified Chevy technician.
