Auto Max to move into Seawell’s Ordinary

A local landmark will have a new occupant early next year. Auto Max of Gloucester has plans to renovate and move into Seawell’s Ordinary, located on Route 17, adjacent to the Ordinary Post Office.

The Ordinary is best known as an historic restaurant that served the county on and off for many years.

Danny Niblett, who owns Auto Max along with his wife Dianne, said that the lease on the building the company currently occupies will expire at the end of the year.

"Our business looks forward to working with the county, the historic preservation group and the community," Niblett said. "We can work together."

Niblett said the Ordinary needs a lot of attention. "We’re looking forward to the opportunity to move into this historic landmark and make this gem shine once again," he added.
