Local author Mary Shipko is scheduled to speak at Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center, on Sunday, March 9, beginning at 2 p.m.
Shipko will discuss her life as the first female airline pilot for Hughes Airwest and present the history of female airline pilots. She will also be available for a book signing of her memoir, “Aviatrix: First Woman Pilot for Hughes Airwest.”
