Aug. 18 deadline to sign up for TSWCD cost share program

Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District Cost Share Sign-up deadline is Aug. 18, by appointment only. The Virginia Agricultural Cost Share Program and the Whole Farm Approach offers cost share assistance as an incentive to construct or implement Best Management Practices.

Voluntary BMPs reduce nonpoint source pollution and improves soil health and water quality. Tidewater SWCD administers VACS and WFA programs to agricultural producers in Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex counties. The goal of VACS and WFA is to improve water quality in the state’s streams, rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay.
