Audra Elizabeth Walker, 40, of Hayes, passed away on Jan. 12, 2013.

She was born Oct. 29, 1972. She loved animals and enjoyed life. She was the former Miss Hampton Holidays and a contestant in the Miss Virginia Pageant. She graduated from James Madison University and obtained her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Hampton University.

Audra is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Edward Walker; her parents, Bill and Gail Barlow; her brother, Michael Barlow and wife Emily; her in-laws, Ed and Cathy Walker, and her adoring beagles, Coco and Baby.

She was laid to rest on Jan. 18, 2013 at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Va.
