Auditions for ‘Wizard of Oz’ to be held Sunday

Auditions for the Court House Players’ children’s musical “The Wizard of Oz” will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at Ware Episcopal Church Parish House, Rt. 14, Gloucester.

The classic tale of a Kansas farm girl traveling over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home has been adapted especially for young performers. Children aged 5-18 are invited to drop by and try out for one of many roles available.

Children ages 5-7 will be given a very simple song to sing, so they need no CD.

Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. and Sundays from 2-4 p.m. at Newington Baptist Church, Gloucester. Performances will be April 20-22 at Lighthouse Worship Center in Gloucester. ...
