Kristy Hunter, the Gloucester High School Athletic Director, has been named one of three 2020 Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association’s Athletic Administrators of the Year. Hunter came to GHS 16 years ago as the school athletic trainer and has served as the GHS Athletic Director for the past seven years. Hunter was set to receive her award at the VIAAA’s annual conference in March, which was canceled because of COVID-19. The VIAAA said it will honor this year’s and next year’s VIAAA award recipients during its 2021 conference.
