Ashley Shorts is the new manager at the UPS Store in Gloucester, located at Fox Mill Centre.

The Mathews native brings with her years of experience in customer service and logistics. She aims to add a sense of community to her new place of work, and for her and her staff to represent the people of Gloucester and Mathews well.

According to Shorts, in 2017, she worked for FedEx, which got her “feet wet” in the shipping and logistics industry. Since then Shorts has had several positions that have helped her develop her customer service skills. She credits her time helping her parents run their restaurant Cobbs Creek Diner as the position that gave her the most experience.

Shorts’ job as manager will conduct the day-to-day operations of the store, making sure the customers are always satisfied. “It feels awesome,” she said in regard to her new position. “I am so excited to know everything about the store so I can be comfortable and grow with this amazing team.”
