Jill Ashberry recently joined the staff at Shear Perfection, a salon and spa located on Buckley Hall Road, Mathews. Ashberry specializes in color, especially foils, a highlighting technique.

Also, she offers other cosmetology services like haircuts, perms and waxing. Clients include women, men and children.

Ashberry has five years’ experience as a stylist having previously worked at a salon in Newport News. A Mathews native, she resides at Cobbs Creek, was later raised in Newport News, and is a graduate of Warwick High School.
Her husband, Phillip, is a crewman aboard a tugboat. They have one son, Aidan, 2½ years old.

Teresa White of Mathews, owns Shear Perfection. White, also a stylist, said the shop features full hair services, as well as salon features like manicures and pedicures. Also, Shear Perfection has two tanning beds, and sells jewelry and beauty products.
