Arts venue’s new board

Flat Iron Crossroads elected a new board recently to take the reins of the arts venue and continue its mission into 2022. Shown, from left, are vice president Robb Riddle, treasurer Martha Matthews, secretary Raphaella Teschner, and incoming president Edwin Robbins. Founder Ray Friend, at right, is the outgoing president. “Flat Iron Crossroads would like to express tremendous appreciation for its founder and outgoing president, Ray Friend,” a press release stated. “Ray dedicated the last four years to turning a 100-year-old gas station into a modern nonprofit performing arts center. Our mission is to provide an atmosphere in which performers can reach their potential through education, collaboration, and live performances.” The venue will be closed during January, reopening on Feb. 4 with a performance by Cole and MaryAnn.
