The OpenArts After School Program at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews offers free classes every week to children ages 6-14.
The high-energy program introduces students to a variety of art techniques, media, and artists, according to a release.
In addition, students have some freedom to explore a variety of different artistic mediums.
The classes are split into two age groups—ages 6-10 and 11-14, and advance registration is required.
From September through December, the classes are being offered on the following days: Tuesdays, ages 6-10 from 3-4:30 p.m.; Wednesdays, ages 6-10 from 3-4 p.m. and ages 11-14 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.; and, Thursdays, ages 11-14 from 3-4:30 p.m.
