Arts on Main welcomes new board members

Arts on Main, Gloucester, has elected Richard Griffin and Lourdes Travieso-Parker to its board of directors, a release has announced.

Griffin is a clinical psychologist in private practice specializing in forensic evaluations. He began taking classes at Arts on Main eight years ago and said he is grateful for the excellent learning opportunities and encouragement Arts on Main has provided him over the years.

Travieso-Parker is a member of the Educational Foundation of Rappahannock Community College. She holds a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from Virginia Tech, and has taught Spanish, English as a Second Language and supervised student teachers at Christopher Newport University. She is a longtime volunteer at Arts on Main and has a keen interest in bringing the arts to young people and underserved populations, the release said.
