Arts on Main is “Celebrating Women Artists!” in March, featuring artwork by Carolyn Dudley, Janet Griffin, Hanah Hailey, Caroline Garrett Hardy, Kathy Klein, Judy Mays, Bobbie Niccolucci, Rose Nygaard, Kathryn Swanson and Mary Jane Zander.

Through fiber, monotype, painting, paper, and resin, the gallery’s 10 local artists showcase their talents. Their work ranges from whimsical and interpretive, to complex and sublime, a release stated.

The opening of the exhibition will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the gallery at 6580 Main Street, Gloucester.This event is open to the public and free of charge, thanks to monthly exhibit sponsors Kathy and Rick Klein.Light refreshments will be served, and beer and wine will be available for purchase. Live music, sponsored by Yolanda’s, will be performed by Farren Winter.

Additionally, members of the Sogetsu School of the Middle Peninsula will provide floral interpretations of art for this month’s First Friday event.
