Arts on Main will open its Second Annual Juried Show beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at the gallery on Main Street in Gloucester during the arts organization’s monthly First Friday event.

More than 150 applications were submitted for consideration by juror Jennifer Morningstar, gallery manager of the Charles Taylor Visual Arts Center in Hampton, said a press release, and 58 individual works were selected. 

Prize winners will be announced at the show, with the first-place winner receiving $300 plus a future solo show at Arts on Main.

Live music will be provided by the Something Different duo from Gloucester, an easy-listening father/daughter duo of Brad Sindle and Ashley Wenner performing old jazz classics.

The opening is sponsored by Lynne Manning. It is free and open to the public, with beer, wine and paninis available for purchase.

The art show will remain on display until April 27.
