Arts on Main board members hosted a potluck recently for the gallery artists who consign their work to the organization’s Gloucester Main Street gallery space.
The informal gathering gave gallery artists and board members an opportunity to connect with each other, share their artistic inspirations and techniques, and learn about the variety of skills and experiences that are the foundation of Arts on Main’s success, said a press release.
Gallery artists at Arts on Main are Virginia-based artists who have year-round representation in the more than 4,000-square-foot space at 6580 Main Street in Gloucester. Before being accepted, the artists undergo an application and jury process that considers, among other things, the applicant’s body of work and artistic experience.
Gallery artists currently represent a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and media, including acrylic, ceramics, fiber arts, jewelry, oil, pastel, watercolor, woodcarving, and more, said the release. They regularly update the...
